Callsheet Pro is made by Early Studios. This page explains exactly what the app collects, who else ever sees it, and how to get rid of it.
1. What we collect
- Your account. Your name and email address when you sign up with an email and password, with Apple, or with Google. You can also add your on-set role and a home address, which is used to estimate how long it takes you to get to a shoot.
- What you upload. Call sheets, documents, photos and production details you bring into the app. Call sheets normally hold personal information about other people: crew names, phone numbers, email addresses and shoot locations.
- One contact at a time. If you add a crew member from your phone's address book, the app reads the name and phone number of the single person you pick. It never reads the rest of your address book, and it never adds or changes anything in it.
- Crash reports. When something goes wrong the app sends a technical error report so we can fix it. These record what broke, not what your call sheets say.
- Advertising measurement. Your device's advertising identifier, together with the fact that the app was installed or opened. Section 4 explains this in full.
- Your subscription. Whether you are on the free or paid tier, and the purchase behind it.
- Forwarded email. If you set up a personal forwarding address, call sheets you forward reach our servers. We keep the sender and subject line next to the resulting call sheet so you can see where it came from.
The app does not read your location, your calendar, your microphone or your photo library. Weather and travel times are worked out from the address printed on the call sheet, not from where your phone is. The camera opens only to scan a share-code QR, and only the code itself is kept.
2. What we use it for
- Running the app: reading your call sheets into a usable shoot day, syncing them between your devices, and sharing them with crew when you choose to.
- Managing your account and subscription.
- Diagnosing crashes so we can fix them.
- Measuring which of our adverts bring people to the app.
- Sending you messages about your account and the service.
We never sell your call sheets, contacts or documents, and we never use their contents to target advertising.
3. Who else sees it
We do not sell or trade your personal data. It reaches other companies only in these cases.
- Companies that work for us. Firebase, part of Google, stores your data and handles sign-in and notifications. Anthropic reads the call sheets you upload so the app can pull out the details; Anthropic does not use what we send to train its models. Sentry receives crash reports. RevenueCat, Apple and Google handle subscriptions, and Stripe handles Studio team billing. Loops sends account emails. Amazon Web Services receives forwarded call sheets. All of them act on our instructions under data protection agreements.
- Meta, for advertising measurement only. See the next section.
- Address lookups. To show a forecast or estimate travel time, the address written on a call sheet is sent to Open-Meteo and OpenStreetMap to be turned into map coordinates. Your device's own location is never involved.
- Crew you share with. When you share a call sheet, the people you give the link to can read it. That is the point of the feature, and you can revoke a share at any time.
- The law. We may hand over data if we are legally required to, or to defend our legal rights.
4. Advertising
We advertise the app, and we need to know which adverts are worth paying for. To do that the app includes software from Meta Platforms, Inc. When the app is installed, and when it is opened, it reports that to Meta along with your device's advertising identifier.
That identifier and those events are the only things Meta gets from us. No call sheet, contact, document, photo or note is ever sent to Meta, or to any other advertiser. We do not build advertising profiles out of your production data, and we do not let anyone else do it either.
You can reset or limit your advertising identifier whenever you like, in your phone's settings: under Privacy on iPhone, or under Ads on Android. On iPhone the app also asks your permission before tracking, and you are free to say no.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR and Dutch law you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, take a copy of it elsewhere, or object to how we use it.
You can delete your account and everything in it from the app itself, in Settings, under Delete account. If you cannot get into the app, ask us at share.callsheetpro.app/delete-account. For anything else, write to us at the address at the bottom of this page.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your call sheets, documents, contacts, saved locations, share links, profile and sign-in details are removed straight away rather than queued up for later.
A few records outlive the account. Purchases are held by Apple, Google or our payment provider, and tax law requires those to be kept. Crash reports, any emails you have sent to support, and your address in the system we use to send account emails sit outside the account and are not swept up automatically. Ask us and we will delete those too.
7. Security
Everything travels over an encrypted connection. Your call sheets live in Google Firebase behind rules that let only your own account read them, and uploaded files are locked to your account in the same way. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration or loss.
8. Children
The app is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. If a change matters to you, we will say so in the app or contact you directly.
